Configuration builder
Use this browser tool to import McProgression YAML, adjust progression settings, validate the combined configuration, and download or copy the resulting files. It is intended for server owners and administrators. The tool runs in your browser; selected files are not uploaded to this site.
Export includes five files
Import the files you actually use. Any file you do not import starts from the selected preset or shipped defaults, and is still included in the export. Check the file-source list before downloading so you do not replace a customized file with a default.
1. Choose a starting preset and import files
The preset provides starting values for skills.yml, items.yml, and world-access.yml. config.yml and general-xp.yml start from the shipped defaults. Import any current server files you want to preserve and edit. The builder identifies each imported file and shows which output files still come from the preset or defaults.
Recognized filenames: config.yml, general-xp.yml, skills.yml, items.yml, and world-access.yml. Import happens locally in this browser tab. Files larger than 2 MB are skipped.
2. Adjust the settings you need
Use the sections below for the files you want to change. Skill rank tiers can be added and removed in the tier helper. Exact IDs, names, and numeric thresholds are under its advanced disclosure. The level-zero starting tier cannot be removed. Removing a tier with rewards also removes those rewards from the output; stable IDs should be kept if players may already have earned a reward.
3. Review and export
The builder checks relationships between the files before enabling export. It preserves unknown YAML keys it can parse, but comments, key order, quoting, and formatting may change. Work is held in this page only; export or copy files before navigating away. Always review the output and run the plugin's configuration audit before applying it to a live server.
Open a file preview to copy or download it. All five files are included, even if you imported only some.
